Growing a Tea Garden

Growing, harvesting and preserving herbs for delicious, healing teas all year round.

You don’t need a green thumb in order to invite healing herbs into your garden, and you don’t need a degree in herbal medicine to work with them! With a little common sense and some know-how, you can enjoy a cup of the freshest herb tea year-round that is not only delicious, but offers an abundance of health benefits.

In this workshop, we will be focusing on 10 of my favorite herbs to grow for teas as well as proper harvesting techniques and how to preserve your harvest so that it remains vibrant and life-giving for months. We’ll explore a variety of water preparations you can make with dried herbs such as washes, nourishing infusions, broths, steams, and of course, the perfect cup of tea. We’ll also talk a little about blending herbs to create your own unique recipes and formulas. Bring your questions and your seed catalog!

Each registrant will receive a pdf handout with plant profiles, recipes, instructions, techniques and blank forms for you to use.
